The Lui Bar

Pop-up cocktail menu kit

Client: Vue De Monde
Industry: Hospitality

Vue De Monde and their bar, The Lui Bar, are known for their experiential approach to hospitality. They gave me the challenge of creating a purchasable cocktail menu that would feature the bars key drinks and recipes. Being who they are, this was to be no ordinary cocktail menu.

We decided a pop-up book would bring an unexpected and playful element to the booklet, particularly if it was sold as a do-it-yourself kit. The bar is a mash of textures and patterns, inspiration for the varied design styles through the book: 1940's wallpaper influencing the Negroni; 1970's science manuals for the Macadamia Martini.

The menu was met with great appreciation, being featured in Melbourne's Broadsheet, Australian Vogue Living and nominated for the World's Best Cocktail Menu.
